Weather is an exciting and important part of each of our days. We dress according to the weather, we plan indoor or outdoor activities according to the weather, and we look forward to certain types of weather. Weather can be wacky: sunny one hour, rainy the next hour, and thunderstorms the next. This week, we’ll be exploring sunshine, rain showers, thunderstorms, and clouds through creative movement, creative drama, music, and visual art.

Wacky Weather
Weather plays a huge role in each of our lives. This week is a wonderful way to explore different elements of weather into our creative movement, creative drama, music, and visual arts activities. Depending on your child’s age, he/she may participate in: making a musical thunderstorm with his/her body, exploring elements of movement (levels and shapes) through making a cloud take on different shapes as a group activity, enjoying a fun creative drama activity where he/she will use his/her mind, voice, and body to act differently when different weather puppets appear, creating a group shape to resemble a cloud, creating a weather collage with foam weather shapes, engaging in listening skills to enjoy a fun story about weather.
See you in class!
